Cut/Copy/Paste/Delete table

Cut

Select Cut to delete or move the selected table(s). Cut removes the selected table(s) from the list and holds the table(s) in the WinCross memory buffer (this is separate from the Windows Clipboard). You can insert the selected table(s) anywhere else in the list using Paste (described below).

When you are moving tables, use Cut with care: the WinCross memory buffer holds the contents of only the most recent Cut or Copy. When you Cut or Copy again, whatever was already in the buffer is overwritten.

Copy

Select Copy to copy the selected table(s). The selected table(s) remains in its current position and a copy is placed in the WinCross memory buffer. You can insert a copy of the table(s) anywhere else in the list using Paste (described below).

It is safer to use Copy than Cut when rearranging tables, since Cut removes the selected table(s) from its current position. Because the memory buffer holds the contents of only the most recent Cut or Copy, the table(s) that was Cut is overwritten if you make another Cut or Copy operation before the cut table(s) is pasted.

Paste

To insert the table(s) held in the WinCross memory buffer (from a previous Copy or Cut), move the cursor to the insertion point and select Paste. The table(s) are pasted after the selected table.

Delete

Select Delete to delete the selected table(s). Delete removes the selected table(s) from the list and does not hold the table(s) in the WinCross memory buffer.
