Profile Settings

Note: Changes made to Profile Settings only apply to "new" jobs created using the modified profile and will have no effect on "existing" job files. Use Setup|Job Settings or Setup|Globally Modify Tables to make changes to existing job files.

In Setup|Profile Settings, you can specify initial job file settings for new jobs using the following tabs:

Table Presentation

Job Title

Table Report Type

Enhanced Text Reports

In Setup|Profile Settings, you can also create, save, load and remove WinCross profiles. WinCross profiles are job file settings saved for use when creating new jobs with similar settings. For example, if you have a client who always likes to have their row text width set to 40 and wants the same job title on all jobs, you can assign these options and save this set of options as a WinCross Profile with a profile name that is meaningful to you.

The next time you are ready to create a new job for this client, you will use that profile as the starting point for your new job by selecting the profile from the Active profile dropdown list of profile choices when using File|New Job.

Active profile - Displays the name of the active profile.

Import Settings from Active Job - Allows you to create a new WinCross profile from an open (previously saved) WinCross job file.

Save Profile As - Saves the current settings as a new WinCross profile.

Remove Profile - Deletes a previously saved WinCross profile.

** This feature is not available in WinCross Runtime version.
