Jack Pollack is the President and a principal of The
Analytical Group, Inc. Jack is an accomplished
executive with a record of outstanding achievement
with TAG since joining the company in 1973. Jack’s
considerable experience is grounded in
programming, statistical analysis and data
processing. He is a graduate of Northwestern
University, and has had research papers published in
the Columbia Journalism Review and the Chicago
Clare Pollack, Executive Vice President of The Analytical Group, Inc., oversees all operations of the company. During
her tenure with the company, Clare has been responsible for developing the operational procedures and quality checks
that ensure the high level of quality and precision TAG is known for today. Clare spent sixteen years with Research
International prior to joining The Analytical Group, Inc. in 1992.
Albert Madansky is a Vice President and co-founder of The Analytical Group, Inc. Al’s remarkable career
encompasses both the academic and corporate worlds. He received his Ph.D in statistics from the University of
Chicago, and went on to hold the position of Professor and Deputy Dean for the University of Chicago. Albert also held
senior management positions in the corporate world, including Vice President at Interpublic Group and President of
Dataplan. He is widely published, having written articles and books on such topics as Conjoint Analysis, Quantal Choice
Models, New Methods of Telephone Interviewing and has also been published in The Financial Analysts Journal.
Matt Grace, Managing Director for The Analytical Group, Inc., is responsible for ensuring the company's equipment,
software, and processes are all leading-edge. Matt has been fulfilling the TAG vision plan since he joined the company
in 1998, and he seeks to further shape and grow this vision into the future. Matt carries a BS in Accountancy and
continually pursues the latest in Microsoft, SQL, and Enterprise technologies.
Pat Rissi, Vice President of Data Processing, is responsible for all aspects of data processing for the company. Pat
joined The Analytical Group, Inc. in 1993. Prior to joining TAG, Pat was Data Processing Manager at Research
International. Pat has a BS from Arizona State University .
Tom Cottam is the Project Services Manager and is responsible for overseeing questionnaire programming and field
project management on all CATI, CAPI and CAWI projects. Tom began his career at Research International prior to
joining The Analytical Group, Inc. in 1993.
David Hamel, Director of Product Development, oversees all of the company's software development efforts. David
joined The Analytical Group, Inc. in 2011, and brings over 30 years of software development experience to the
company. David has a strong background developing desktop applications for Windows-based PC's. Prior to joining
TAG, David was owner and senior developer at Boxer Software, developer of the popular Boxer Text Editor.
Sheri Hilmers, Accounting Manager, is responsible for all accounting and HR functions. Sheri started at The Analytical
Group, Inc. in 1983 as a data processing project director. She has a BS from Portland State University.
Michelle McConnaughay, Data Collection Manager, is responsible for the telephone survey center. Michelle joined
TAG in 2016 with ten years experience in research. Michelle has a BA in Intercultural Communication from Arizona
John Hilmers is the Assistant Data Processing Manager. John joined TAG in our Chicago office in 1980 and previously
worked for Datatab. John's specialties include software design/support, complex data processing, custom
programming, Excel reports and macros, client-ready reports, and statistical work.
Scott Smith is the Assistant Project Services Manager and Product Manager for the WinQuery and QueryWeb software
products. Scott began his career with The Analytical Group, Inc. in 1999. He received his BA in Marketing from
Western Washington University. Scott was a Field Project Director with Research International prior to joining TAG.
Loretta Lauerman is the Product Manager for our WinCross tabulation software. Loretta began her career with The
Analytical Group, Inc. in 2003 as a Technical Writer. Loretta brings over 20 years of software development and testing
experience to TAG. Her attention to detail and strong organizational skills are assets for her role as WinCross Product
