View|Report in Browser

Choosing View|Report in Browser or selecting the corresponding toolbar button   launches your default Internet browser and displays the Enhanced Text Report. Use the Report viewing format option of Enhanced text report on the Run Tables dialog to create an Enhanced Text Report.

Frequency, Sample Balancing, Factor Analysis and Regression reports are automatically created as Enhanced text reports and can be viewed using View|Report in Browser.

You can then easily switch back and forth between WinCross and your Internet browser. Choose the Refresh toolbar button in your Internet browser to instantly view the results of your WinCross formatting change(s) using Setup|Job Settings|Enhanced Text Reports.

The exception to this, is any change made to the Job logo setting or to the Show blank lines option in the Overall table layout setting. Changes to these settings require rerunning your tables.

Viewing Considerations

There are two methods for transferring Enhanced Text Reports for viewing on another PC, such as a company Intranet server. The first is to manually copy the seven files to the target PC.

The second method is to have the job open in WinCross, then choose File|Save|Save Report As and specify the target PC as the destination.

Unless your Internet Web server is part of your local network, the first method of transfer is used to upload the formatted content to an Internet server.

About {filename}_run.htm

To view your Enhanced Text Reports outside of WinCross, the primary file is {filename}_run.htm. Double-clicking it opens the file in your Internet browser. The {filename}_run.htm must reside in the same folder as these other six files:

If creating a hyperlink on a Web page to display the report, {filename}_run.htm is the file to which the link should reference. Alternatively, you can rename or copy {filename}_run.htm to index.htm, placing it with the six associated files in the same folder on the Web server (for example, www.AnalyticalGroup.com/wc15samp). The report automatically appears for anyone accessing this Web page.
