Save Data As for Simple
Weighting
You
can choose from the following options for saving your data file:
To a Local Destination
- Saves your data file to a local or
network folder of your choice.
- You
can choose from the Recent folders
dropdown list to locate a desired folder.
- If you want to manually enter a filename,
click anywhere within the File
name: field and type the name. You will need to include
the full filepath if you want the data file to reside in a folder
other than that displayed.
Drive/Directory
- Select
the file path where you would like to save your new data file with
the weights added.
File(s)
- If
you would like to save your file to a filename that currently exists
and is displayed in the File(s)
list, highlight the filename from the File(s)
list.
Filename
- Enter a name for your output data
file or select an existing file from the File(s)
list.
- You can
save to the open data file.
- You will be prompted with a message
explaining that the original data file will be backed up with a *.bak# extension added (with # = to a number, for example,
example.sav.bak1 is the first
backup file created for the original data file of example.sav).
- The newly created data file will
automatically reopen in WinCross.
- You have the option of continuing
by selecting Yes
or cancelling the save by selecting No.
File
type
- Select the file type for your output
data file. The output data file must be the same type as the input
data file.
Records
per case
- You must specify the records per
case that you want to write to the new file.
- Records
per case displays the totals for the open file.
- Enter the number that is correct
for the original data file in the Records
per case field.
- Records that were added using the
ADDREC
command should not be included in this number.
Note:
When
using variable type data files,
Records
per case is not applicable. |
Cases to write
- Enter the number of cases to write
to the output data file.
