Computer
Assisted Interviewing:
We
provide total field management for any data
collection method, including web, telephone (CATI)
or in-person (CAPI) interviewing. We will
program your questionnaire, host (web
surveys), provide field project and sample
management.
CATI:
We
have a 72-station telephone facility in Scottsdale,
Arizona.
Our field
managers have experience in all areas of research
and many of our skilled interviewers have
bilingual capabilities.
Web
Interviewing:
We
can program, host, and manage the fieldwork
using our QueryWeb®
software. Potential respondents can be invited
via email, from a link (pop-up) on our
client’s website, through a preferred panel
supplier, or through a mall intercept facility.
Our clients can access their project to check
fieldwork status and run data toplines at any
time, using a secure and unique pass code.
CAPI:
For
mall intercepts or central location studies, we
provide the programmed CDs to the field
agencies, who return the data-filled CDs for
processing to our facility. We will merge the
data from all sites, clean, tabulate if desired
or simply output the data files to our clients.
We have also combined this method with telephone
callbacks for product placement studies.
Other
fieldwork services:
For
mail surveys, we can convert questionnaires to a
format amenable to scanning, or simply print and
process for traditional paper and pen data
collection. We will take care of all the
outbound as well as inbound logistics of the
mail process. Our staff will data enter the
paper surveys for subsequent processing.
In addition, we offer questionnaire
design consultation.
Fieldwork
Quality Control
Questionnaires
are pre-tested by two members of field
management prior to start in field. Test data is
generated and data output is compared to the
paper questionnaire for proper skip patterns.
Clients are provided with access to the script
program to ensure that it meets expectations.
We
ensure the highest level of quality data
collection through diligent monitoring. Our
supervisor to interviewer ratio is 1:6 on
consumer studies and 1:4 on B2B studies. All
telephone interviewers are monitored nightly
during their shift. We have three monitoring
rooms, supplemented by roaming monitors, which
enable our supervisors to tap into any
interviewer’s conversation at will as they
walk the floor. Interviewers are often unaware
they are being monitored. Random validations are
routinely completed on each interviewer to
ensure data accuracy.
Survey
data is stored on our file server and backed up
each day. Access to our server is password
protected and firewalls are in place. All
employees of The Analytical Group, Inc. sign
confidentiality agreements upon commencement of
their employment. We follow the Code of
Standards outlined by The Market Research
Association and CASRO.

field, we have coding, data entry, scanning,

Code
development and coding
We
maintain a coding staff with years of experience
in code frame development.
Code frames are submitted to our clients
for approval prior to coding. Open-ended
verbatim responses can be provided in electronic
file format as well.
Data
entry
We
provide data entry with 100% verification on any
type of source document. The supervisor also
runs reports to check on missed and corrected
strokes on each data entry operator.
Scanning
Our
Scanning department provides our clients with
the most efficient data collection method for
most large paper studies. We will work with you
to optimize the scanability of your project. Our
advanced software and hardware works to your
specifications: automatic recoding and data
cleaning are easily integrated during scanning.
Intelligent character recognition (ICR) as well
as optical character recognition (OCR) and
optical mark recognition (OMR) are combined to
guarantee the highest quality recognition. Our
experienced staff monitors low-confidence input
and intervenes with intelligent decisions,
maximizing usable data.
Tabulations
Our
data processing staff has years of experience
working with data to create files and cross
tabulations, using our WinCross tabulation
software for processing most of our projects.
Using virtually any data source, we can reformat
and recode, as well as match, merge, and sort
files from the same or different projects. We
can provide the data in various formats to meet
our clients’ needs. We convert data to and
from virtually any format, with output supplied
electronically. Our consistency checking
includes document look-up and validation. All
tables are checked by the Data Processing
Manager with the Project Director prior to being
sent to the client. Tabulations with
significance testing between banner points can
also be produced.
